Pizza trio

 Gedna
Sam and Delince
The above three work in our Guest House and are responsible for the Saturday night pizza extravaganza.  They work hard all day making them from scratch.  If I had the money, I'd invest in a pizza parlor as the talent is right here.

Hot stuff

Here's a shot of our pepper (Caribbean Red) garden.  Most of the crop will be sold to pay for agricultural expenses as there's no way we could consume all this.

ESPWA Kanaval

We had our own Kanaval celebration yesterday. We started with a parade around the grounds and ended up near a temporary stage where some of our talented artists performed for the others.

No more tyke

You might remember TiOurs?  He's no longer a mischievous little tyke.  He's now a full-blown mischievous four-year old.

Kanaval

Kanaval is being held in Les Cayes this year.  Lots of preparations going on around town.  The whole place in being cleaned up, stands are going up all around the city.  One of the boys plans on attending some of the festivities in this mask. Yikes!

Dome home foundation

Domes for the World is partnering with us to build some dome homes that will benefit our children.   It's really exciting as this is an alternative way to build.  Keep checking here to see how this project develops.

Update on the kitchen-dining room

Not only are all the panels up but the top tier now has cement stucco.  The guys are working full-force on getting the roof done and we are really pleased.

Seth and baseball

Seth, from Los Angeles, infected the boys with the baseball bug.  He's been out there every afternoon and the kids are pumped!

Nick and Jimmy

Jimmy and Nick spent some time making music together.  Nick, Paul's son, is from NYC and in the music business.

Mainers

Chris, Paul and Debbie
We've got some great people here this week.  The above three are from Maine and it has been fun catching up on things from there as well as finding out if we know the same people.  The threesome painted their hearts out and have finished given the second floor of the primary school a coat of primer.  Amazing what a coat of paint can do!

Shocking

Kanaval, the Haitian version of Mardi Gras, will be held in Les Cayes this year.  Folks from all over have already started arriving and partying.  Michelet, one of our graduates and now construction worker, was watching some street bands and was hit by a flying bottle.  He should be all right but we'll be checking his eye as soon as the swelling goes down.  We invited Michelet to a meeting with our older boys as a reminder that Kanaval can be fun but also dangerous.

Outing

One of the kindergarten classes went on an outing yesterday.  They explored our little park and discovered the various plants, flowers and trees there.
