The "ceinture" is finished. Don't know what it's called in English. It bonds the bags together at the top and allows us a way to secure the wood framing for the roof.
Here's Boss Junior working on the forms so we can pour the roof over the toilet. There'll be a cistern up there to provide water.
Ahh, this house needs an outdoor bath made with a rock waterfall and stone walls surrounding for privacy but open above for natural light, but that would leave no place for a cistern, I guess...
ReplyDeleteAny word as to how this building did in the earthquake?
ReplyDeleteIf it did well and with much of Haiti needing to be rebuilt this is an opportunity to do it quickly and affordably.
I would be very interested to know for my own research.
Thank you to anyone who can share this information.
