Back in session
Attendance was at 100% today. The children were happy to return to school after two weeks of violence and uncertainty.
This is really good to see. Is there enough food? What percentage of your food have you been able to grow on the property? I've seen descriptions of planting trees and raising chickens. Is that helping?
Hello Fr Marc and all your team and children. I have been following your project for the past year and it has really touched my heart and I would like to send to you and all the children my greetings, love and best wishes.
I discovered your site by chance. As I am from greek heritage the name 'Theo's' work struck a cord. My husband and I are adopting two adorable and precious children (4 year old twins) from MTM Haiti (please god that all goes well), in additon we sponsor 2 boys from Juchereau (a different worthy project H4H) so that they can go to school. But it seems that all the great and hard work is only touching the surface and it is just the tip of the iceberg. But without this hard work and dedication by you and others the iceberg would have melted and sunk long ago. Maybe it can be raised out of the water(??).
Anyway though you don't know me and I live WAY over the other side of the world just wanted to pass on a few words of support and love. Wish I could be there with the kids plowing the fields. Maybe one day I will come knocking on the door with our children and ask if we can come and visit and help out.
One question do you have girls living in the village or is it boys only accommadation but girls can come to the school/feeding program only? This is the impression I have got from your site and blog.
Thankyou, take care and my prayers and love is with you all.
Irene (means peace in greek and I hope peace and properity comes to Haiti soon)
