English Program

Biondy, our top teacher, is in his glory explaining the intricacies of the English language.  He's assisted by Judex (standing-right).
Enock teaches English 101.  It amazes me how quickly the kids begin peppering their conversations with English words and phrases.  Enock's assistant is MacKentoche.
Paige is the force behind this program.  She put the program together, trained her teachers, meets with them regularly, monitors their performance and applauds their success.

Biondy Bonding

It's the rainy season which translates into lots of mud all over the place and limited outdoor activities. Biondy and his sister, Elizabeth, borrowed a bike when the sun came out and toured the area for a while.

Summer school

Summer session students of the English Program
Biondy and Nesly, secondary students themselves, teaching introductory English to fellow students. It's a real joy to see the kids working together to learn English.
John (Jameson) Surling, one of our young adults teaching intermediate English.

New friends

Biondy and Joel
Joel, from Washington, D.C., is visiting with his dad. Joel's Eagle Scout Project was to provide us with tons of soccer equipment which he did. If there's one thing the kids love, it's soccer. Thank you, Joel, for the hard work that got us all that equipment and for coming down in person to play soccer with our guys. Come back soon.

Passion

Music plays a huge part in the lives of Haitians. They love to sing and dance. When not doing that they listen to it as Biondy is doing in this photo. Here he's listening to geezer music (mine) and seems to enjoy it.
