Nurse practitioners

Hillary (left) and Chris, both nurse practitioners from Indiana, left us this morning after spending a full week helping us in the clinic.  They saw patients, stitched up a few, inventoried our pharmacy and visited with the children.  It was as if they had always been with us.  Thank you, Chris and Hillary.  When are you coming back?

Chris Irr

Chris Irr (above) was here this past week with his dad, Frank, and cousin Matt.  Chris is working on a video presentation for us.  He's interviewed key people and taken lots of footage of our activities.  Can't wait to see the final, edited tape.  I first met Chris and Frank in Kodiak, Alaska when I was chaplain with the Coast Guard back in '95-'96.  Wow, how time flies!

Goodbye visitors, hello sunshine

Rev. Dr. Janet MacGregor-Williams, Norm Houde and Chris Stout flew out this morning on TortugAir.  They spent the week with us and it rained every day.  Wouldn't ya know it, the sun is shining brilliantly now that they're gone.  Hmmm!

Kentucky and Ohio

Friends Regina and Chris from Kentucky and Ohio organized the gathering of 8,519 pairs of shoes destined for our children's feet.  It took four trips for the van above to transport the boxes of shoes.  Transportation all the way to Miami was donated by FedEx.  Thank you to FedEx and to both Chris and Regina for this amazing gift!

Chris and Regina

Chris and Regina, two of our current visitors, lent us a hand in cleaning out one of the containers this afternoon.  It must have been 110 degrees in there so we really appreciate the effort.
