Madame Combe's well

This is Pierre-Rino Macenat. He's one of our young masons at Castel-Pere. Pierre-Rino is cleaning up around the well so that we can pour some cement for the base.
A few hours later... the base is poured and is now setting. In a day or two we'll attach the India pump to the base and have ourselves an excellent, potable water station .

Well

Jim Luttrell is with us for several weeks. He was instrumental in getting us the well-digging rig shown above. He's already gotten it working and is now doing some training so that a team of our older boys can dig proper wells and become independent in the process. The first well is situated in the children's southern neighborhood. God bless you, Jim.

Well done!

Boss Andre and his team digging a well for the showers at Castel-Pere. Took them two full days to dig this well which is 35 meters deep. It will serve the children in the first neighborhood by providing clean water for showers and laundry. Talk about labor intensive!!
