Bread

MaTante hands Bonhomme a small loaf of bread that was baked in the solar oven earlier.  He missed the distribution but was lucky as there was some left over.

MaTante's Birthday

Berthony was the Master of Ceremonies
 Fanfan read a moving tribute
And Matante was honored on the occasion of her birthday!
May you be blessed with joy and health, Denise.  You have been such a blessing to us all and we are very grateful for you.

Sharing wisdom

MaTante, in red above, meets the children daily.  Today's group was 10 to 12 year old boys and the theme was "Choices and Consequences".  MaTante has been a pillar of strength, faith and love for all of us here at ESPWA.  Her talks are sprinkled with anecdotes and humor making them memorable.

Happy Birhday, Berthony

 MaTante, Berthony and Renold
Friends of Berthony gathered this afternoon to wish him all the best as he celebrates his birthday.  We had stuffed pastries, pizza, a lop-sided cake and the obligatory sparkling wine.  We wish him joy, health and much success.  Many happy returns, Berthony.

MaTante holding court

MaTante listens to the boys (all residents of the same house) and offers advice.  This was a serious moment but right after the photo was taken the boys started laughing uproariously.

Clothing distribution

Matante sorting through the clothing
and giving them to the various housemothers
The clothing that came in with the New Jersey container was sorted into four categories: girls, boys, mens and ladies.  The children's clothing has already been distributed and it is now the ladies turn.

Matante's home

A while back I posted a photo of Matante in the middle of her new home which was being built. Well, here it is all done but for the paint job. It's a real looker and Matante is very happy with the results. Thanks to Cross International and their donor for this wonderful gift.
