Belated B'day Party

Nathalie was our guest of honor this afternoon-- a day late and a dollar short-- for her birthday party.  We wish her all the best...health, happiness and peace.  Nathalie is our Finance Office Manager and doing a bang-up job.  Many happy returns, Nat.

The old man and the Mountie

OK, so Nathalie isn't a Mountie but she did serve in the Canadian Navy. Both wear uniforms and are Canadian. Here are Nathalie and me listening to a little speech given in her honor. Many happy returns, Nat.

A long, long time ago somewhere near the North Pole a baby girl was born. She's all grown up now and lives far from her roots. Happy Birthday, Nathalie. I'm sure I speak for all (especially November) when I say that we are all better people because of you. We wish you much joy, laughter and fulfillment. God bless today and everyday!

Then and now

This little boy was found in a field near Laborde.  He was too weak to even turn his head.  When he arrived at the General Hospital no one thought he'd make it as he was unresponsive and would not eat.  Enter Nathalie.  She met him early on and took a liking to this sad little boy.  She visited daily, brought him extra food and juice.  She bought him clothes, spent time with him, held him and, most of all, loved him.

Look at him now.  Another small miracle in southern Haiti, November now lives with us and is under the watchful eye of Nathalie.

Nathalie and I had to review some financial items this morning so she came over and brought Jones along. Had Pate Chinois (Shepherd's Pie) for lunch and it was yummy.

Nathalie's back

Nathalie got back from her short vacation yesterday.  The kids are very happy to have her back.

Nathalie had the chance to meet the Governor General of Canada today when she took a well deserved break and went to Jacmel.  Looks like they hit it off.  Way to go, Nat!

Prison

No, not an earthquake victim. Nathalie tried breaking a fall with her wrist and found out that it isn't as flexible as she thought. Just a hairline fracture but still...six weeks in a cast.

Michael and Nathalie

Michael and Nathalie came by this afternoon. Gotta say that Michael was not at ease and took off as soon as he could. He hung around just long enough to get some cookies.

While the mother was waiting on supplies and such, Nathalie made herself useful and held Dachena who has bronchitis. The baby is wearing clothes we gave her as all the twins had were old diapers. It's amazing they didn't have bad rashes.

Accounting Office

Nathalie has been working with our accounting team these last five weeks. She has been doing a lot of training and bringing our team to a new, more professional level. We are grateful to Nathalie for spending her vacation with us and sharing her knowledge to render us more efficient and transparent. Thanks, Nat.
