This young woman was brought to our clinic this morning. She was buried in the rubble of a friend's home in Port-au_Prince and hurt her foot. All she was given is pain medication. She made her way home which is near here and now needs to have that foot treated. Told her to either wait or come back later this afternoon when the docs will be here. As she had not eaten, we gave her some breakfast.
OMG! That looks painful! I can't imagine having such an injury and not receiving treatment! Thank you for helping her and feeding her breakfast.

Un real. It looks so awful that it looks like Hollywood make-up. Alas, it's not. I hope the infection has not gone too far and she will gain full use of her foot again. I feel bad for being frustrated with my messed up toenail yesterday. Sure puts things in perspective.
