Carpentry

This is Elicnor, our supervising carpenter, sitting in a new chair his team just finished putting together.  The seat still needs padding and upholstery but it is looking good.  This chair is one of six that our carpenters have made for a client.  It is part of a dining room set.

Making it home

Pat Mullen has been visiting. She's been cleaning, cooking and putting order in my house. I haven't been much of a host (malaria) but she seems to be enjoying herself nevertheless. The latest piece of furniture from my carpenters is this sideboard which Pat organized.

More from our carpenters

My head carpenter, Boss Elicnor, asked me to come by the workshop today and photograph the new dining set his crew is just finishing. He's especially proud (as he should be) of the legs of both the table and chairs. This set is for an outside client who will hopefully spread the word.

Coffee table

Ronald finished the coffee table so here it is for your enjoyment. Yes, it's "mission style" as one observant reader noticed. Appropriate, yes? Oh, almost forgot-- meet Timmy, the great nemesis of mice and cockroaches. Am very glad he's around.

Carpenters' turn

Dining Room set

Wardrobe waiting on mirror

When my carpenters and apprentices saw the photo I posted on the tailors' wares they wanted equal time so here it is. The cabinet-makers are very talented and proud of their work-- as well they should be. These pieces are part of an order from a client who is furnishing his home. Wish we had a place to display this furniture in town. Someday!
