This is Liza. She's fourteen years old and comes from Port-au-Prince. Liza was walking home from school when the earthquake hit last January 12th. Her home was crushed and Liza's dad died in the rubble. Her mother and two sisters got out with just scratches. They eventually moved south and settled in Les Cayes. Liza's mom can't find decent work so she does laundry for people and sometimes runs errands but can't make enough money to send her daughters to school. We'll help Liza with a scholarship and trust that someone, maybe you, will step up and donate the money we need.
