Less than twelve hours later, Bonhomme's eye looks much better. He claims it doesn't hurt much but Bonhomme has always been a "stiff upper lip" child. He is definitely not a whiner.
Glad to hear that his eyesight has not been affected. I raised 4 boys so know how quickly these things can happen. On the bright side, this can be used to teach the kids how to be a bit more careful while they are playing, without making the boy with the stick feel as though he was bad. I'm sure he feels bad enough about what happened as it is. Accidents happen, & all we can do is to try to educate kids on a safer way to play. Blessed Be, Jean K
